Upon his graduation from Temple University in Philadelphia in 1982, Paul Fishbein and two friends pooled $900 to publish Adult Video News, an eight-page newsletter that reviewed the growing number of erotic videos spawned by explosion of the home VCR. Fishbein directed the conversion of that newsletter into what is now AVN Magazine, a slick monthly magazine that is now the cornerstone of AVN Media Network, a multi-million dollar conglomerate covering the full spectrum of the adult industry. Fishbein has been featured in Philadelphia Magazine and quoted in Time, Forbes, Wall Street Journal, New York Times, Variety, and is a regular guest on the Howard Stern Show.
